High Tea at The Metropole

Now this sounds incredibly snobby, upper class but so so wonderful.

Midlanders no longer need to travel all the way to London for high-tea at The Waldorf Hilton, thanks to an exclusive tea time menu launched this month, at the newly refurbished Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

For tea connoisseurs the choice is vast with traditional options available including English Breakfast, Signature Earl Gray and Darjeeling. Some of the more unusual teas include Rooibos, Orange and Cinnamon Tisane, Gunpowder Green Tea with Mint and Jasmine Pearls.

A variety of mouth-watering treats can accompany the beverage including cherry plaits, chocolate torsades or a traditional afternoon tea for two which comprises a selection of delicate finger sandwiches, served with two fresh scones, pastries and preserves, along with a choice of teas.

Located on the site of the NEC and only 10 minutes from Birmingham International airport, the 790 bedroom hotel also boasts two restaurants, a comfortable lounge bar and fully-equipped LivingWell Health Club and heated indoor swimming pool.
