Next Tuesday (26th Januray) Fact are having a special screening of Crude. Following one of the most high-profile and controversial lawsuits in history, CRUDE spotlights the legal battles of 30,000 indigenous Amazonian Ecuadorians as they seek compensation from one of the world’s most powerful oil companies, the Chevron Corporation.
With an emphasis on human struggle and environmentalism, CRUDE guides us through the infamous $27-billion court case and examines the media whirlwind surrounding it.
Featuring hard-hitting interviews and damning first-hand footage, you might expect this to be a single-minded affair. But Berlinger takes on the complex issue from multiple angles, presenting a balanced argument in the process.
