Leeds based leading weight-loss and weight-management programme, LighterLife, is fund-raising for charity this month with a strictly stylish event held to celebrate their clients losing weight equal to 4.5 double decker buses last year.
The Strictly Stylish Fashion Show, on Saturday 27th February at Aspire in Leeds, will raise money for Yorkshire Cancer Research, proving that pounds count after losing 700 stone between them.
With celebrity guest Apprentice star Claire Young and Mark Hoban of hit TV series Last Man Standing as the compère, this promises to be a fun filled night of glitz and glamour with a strictly come dancing Latino dance display, hot food and the chance for 300 guests to salsa the night away.
Melanie Ellyard, LighterLife Counsellor has ambitious targets for the event and is hoping to raise thousands of pounds for YCR with the proceeds going to research at the Universities of Bradford, Hull, Leeds, Sheffield, York and their associated teaching hospitals and the MRI centre at Hull Royal Infirmary.
Melanie said: “This event is an opportunity for my clients to celebrate their amazing success, whilst helping a fantastic charity! Cancer touches the lives of so many people, so we are very pleased to offer Yorkshire Cancer Research some support to their vital work.”
The Strictly Stylish Fashion Show will also feature LighterLife clients in a morale boosting fashion show organised in association with Debenhams Personal Shoppers to demonstrate how men and women of all shapes and sizes can look and feel great.
Kerry Cawley, one of the LighterLife models who has lost 3.5 stone said: “I feel fantastic and am going to push myself out of my comfort zone. It has been my dream for a while to get back into a bikini and look and feel great. I can’t believe it, but I am going to show off my new curves in the lingerie section! Being on LighterLife has given me so much more confidence in what I can achieve….I have learnt so many positive skills”.
Tickets cost just £20 and can be purchased by contacting Melanie Ellyard and her team on 0113 2565789 or email pudseyenquiries@lighterlifecounsellor.com. For further information, please visit www.strictlystylish.co.uk.
