Fresh from a 2009 Edinburgh Comedy Awards best show nomination and a critically acclaimed sell-out run at this year’s Fringe, Jon Richardson continues his first UK solo tour.
Richardson is one of the most in-demand young comedians on the UK comedy circuit today. As well as hosting the Sunday mid-morning show on BBC6 Music, Jon has recently appeared on a variety of TV shows including Have I Got News for You, Nevermind the Buzzcocks and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow.
Having spent the last two years defending the option to face the world alone, This Guy At Night sees Jon exploring the notion that the human race may be weaker and less able (individually and globally) to deal with problems than it has at any point in its history.
A regular on the stand-up circuit, Jon’s first gig was in 2003 where he won his heat of the BBC New Comedy Talent Search. After completing a 60 date UK with Alan Carr in 2006, Jon went on to be nominated for a prestigious If.Comedy award for Best Newcomer for his show Spatula Pad at the 2007 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
