New look Pilot

Perennial 69 fave Pilot, you may recall, opened a new store on the High Street late last year. Well, looky here now because it’s only gone and got bigger and better. The Net @ Pilot Store is moving over from Silver Street into a spanking new basement at the High Street location. The bespoke shopfit is an exclusive design for Pilot, and from the sneaky peek we’ve had it looks amazing. There’ll be neon features and you won’t see anything like it elsewhere.  As before, this strand of the Pilot brand will concentrate on streetwear, so this is the place to head for your Nike and adidas, amongst other things.

Upstairs will continue to house some of the city’s hottest labels by the likes of Luke, G Star, Fred Perry, Elvis Jesus, Paul Smith to Vivienne Westwood and Religion…it’s an exhaustive list, so we won’t exhaust ourselves by telling you them all – you can check their website (netclothing.net) for the full list if you’re not able to pop in.

But pop in you really should, as it’s really worth having a gander both inside and out of this rather impressive listed building, which now has over 5000 square feet of designer loveliness. That’s a lot of clobber.  As manager Garth Coverdale told us, “It really gives us the opportunity to show everyone what we do as a business.”

Now that the new store is completed, Pilot is turning its attention to its website, which will be massively expanded over the coming months. As it is, there’s new product online all the time.

So, with new S/S10 stock hitting the shiny new rails every day, what are their key pieces?  Ladies, it’s time to work on your legs as it’s the 2812 utility wear silk all in one short suit.  And for the boys? It’s Polo shirts in bright colours.  Better head off and get one, people.  Or two.
