It seems everywhere I look at the minute there is a guy in a bowtie and I think it is a really nice way to smarten up a look in a modern way. It shows the boy is clued up when it comes to dressing up!

Menswear brands such as Topman and River Island are well and truly keeping up with the trend and offering a funky twist on the classic bowtie such as velvet and checks, take a look below at what they have to show.

So boys, take note, geek is hot!

After talking about how big leopard print is this season and how everyone is wearing it and selling it, we thought it might be fun to take a look at some good and not so good examples of how to wear the trend. Take a look for yourself and see if you agree.

The thing to remember is less is more. Try adding a scarf or bag to your outfit to follow the trend or if you’re a bit more daring try a top or dress, just don’t wear all the mentioned together!

High end designers and high street stores alike are hopping on the trend band wagon.

I am perhaps a little too excited at the comeback of the snood, however Topshop have a great range that makes the retro accessory well and truly back on trend. Another trend that appears to be big this season is the crop jumper, with New Look, Topshop and H&M all offering a selection. The crop is great for layering, as let’s face it would be pretty impractical in the Winter weather otherwise!

The animal print motif also seems to be transferring through to knitwear, with jumpers featuring tiger prints, and patterns that include pandas and dogs. These pieces are cute and fun and are a welcome softer side to the masculine and darker trend that we are seeing with workmen boots, sharp tailoring and shoulder pads.

Definitely the latter! Henry Holland will be a breath of fresh air into the Designers at Debenhams range. His designs are quirky, fun and young and are exactly what Debenhams need.

Personally, I think the existing Designers at Debenhams range is a little bland. Some of the accessories are quite interesting but the clothing seems a little safe. H! by Henry Holland will be hitting selective Debenhams stores in February 2010 and will be sure to cause quite a stir.

The range is rumoured to have hints of House of Holland which is bound to result in some eccentric statement pieces and will really target a whole new clientele for Debenhams.

Understandably some of the House of Holland designs will have to be toned down so as not to alienate the usual clientele, I just hope not too much!

Being a big fan of  KOL,  I felt that their latest album was a million miles away from their original style and it smelt more than a little of  sellling out. The news of a clothing line has made the feeling intensify and I can’t help but feel slightly let down by them.

The clothing line is only being sold in ‘Paris Texis’ in Copenhagen and is a collaboration with French brand ‘Surface to Air’, but there is already a huge buzz surrounding this move into fashion that KOL have embarked upon and I fear the clothing line will become much more widely available in the not too distant future.

Before we know it, the thousands of newly formed Sex on Fire ‘fans’ will be sporting their Kings of Leon originals. Here they are for you take a gander at the new line by clicking one of the pretty pics below.
